University Snitching and the wider surveillance of anti-cuts demonstrations

  Today, the Guardian website ran with a story concerning the Met’s attempt to get universities to hand over information concerning student demonstrations. An officer from the Counter-Terrorism unit contacted 20 universities and colleges in London, asking the management to pass on information they had on upcoming demos and occupations, to help them “anticipate” action.… [Read more…]
